Here’s a selection of some of our work ranging from full design/builds to mood board agreed planting schemes.
PARNELL COURTYard garden
A collaborative design with Sayburn Miller. Our design brief was to create a beautiful courtyard garden that enlarged the space for entertaining, the client wanted to maintain a small lawn area for his fur baby. With English heritage the client has an affection for English country gardens and asked for planting that would change throughout the seasons. Although he wanted the space modernised, he didn’t want a “glossy city garden”, the natural stone paving and reclaimed brick fireplace paired with the softness of the raised sleeper borders adds a touch of modern elegance that compliments the traditional villa perfectly. Project management of the build was executed superbly by Sayburn Miller.
PAKIRI FLOWER GARDEN
This Pakiri planting project was a mood board only scheme. The brief was to plant these borders with plants that would withstand the wild, salty winds and rabbit attacks to provide colour and interest through the seasons. Planted by Shaping Nature, irrigation installed by Peter at POTSnz.
WARKWORTH RENTAL PROPERTY
Mood board only planting project to complement existing plants, many of which had died from poor preparation when planting and/or lack of maintenance before we took over. The brief was to choose budget friendly, low maintenance plants for the front and back of this rental property that would reduce weed growth and improve the overall appeal of the property. Project completed by Shaping Nature.
WILD PAKIRI
Planting Scheme – Brief was to change existing planting around the pool area which consisted of a lot of cacti, considered unsafe for the clients young children and to replant the front of house border to better reflect the client’s style whilst complimenting the house and its surrounding landscape. The client loves the softness of ornamental grasses, natives and white flowers .The planting needed to be rabbit resistant and hardy to salt spray and low nutrients levels due to the sand dune nature of the garden. It also had to be relatively low maintenance due to the properties existing maintenance requirements. Completed by Shaping Nature.
